And until very recently, top ranking on the search engines was the ultimate goal of local businesses. But that can prove to be disastrous to your business if you don’t have a 5 star reputation.
In a recent 2015 report 92% of respondents said that they check a company’s review before considering to do business with them. And that same report noted that 97% respondents between the ages of 18 and 34 will only do business with a company having multiple 4 and 5 star reviews.
That is a startling statistic! So let’s see what you would do.

Assuming that each plumbing company is equal in every other way – which one would be your choice? If you’re like most people, you would probably choose the plumbing company with the 5 star reputation.
Now suppose you were Plumber A – would you want your company to be ranked on the first page of Google? Would you want potential customers seeing your BAD reviews?
